Here is the logistical information for the Winter 2024 CSG Workshops and Meeting, to be held 24-26 January, 2024 at Arizona State University.
ASU will be offering a tour of Dreamscape Learn, a virtual immersive experience. Teams at ASU and Dreamscape Immersive turned a physical space in the campus’s Creative Commons into an immersive learning creation and experience site. Dreamscape Learn is a collaborative venture between Dreamscape Immersive and Arizona State University, merging the most advanced pedagogy with the entertainment industry’s best emotional storytelling.
ASU will offer one-hour Dreamscape sessions from 2 PM to 5 PM on Tuesday as well as during our usual tour timeframe over lunch on Thursday. Each session is limited to 24 participants; please visit the link mentioned on the meeting registration form to register for a slot.
The Creative Commons building is a two-minute walk from the Memorial Union.
You will need to register separately for rooms at the conference hotel as well as for the meeting, and to make your own travel arrangements as explained below.
Our conference hotel is the Graduate Tempe, 225 E Apache Blvd. You may make your reservation by visiting the link or calling the number mentioned in the initial meeting notice. Our group rate is $189, plus tax, per night. Self parking is available for $7 per car, per night. The cut-off date for hotel reservations is Thursday, December 14, 2023. PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY CUT-OFF DATE.
Our meeting will be held in the Arizona Ballroom on the lower level of the Memorial Union, 301 E. Orange St, on the ASU Tempe campus.
Please visit the meeting registration link mentioned in the initial meeting notice to register for the meeting and make your entree selections for the group dinners. Our registration system will send you a confirmation email. You can also confirm your attendance by viewing our meeting attendance list, but please note this list is manually updated. The cut-off date for meeting registration is Monday, January 15, 2024.
Tempe is about 10 miles east of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).
The hotel offers a complementary shuttle to/from the Sky Harbor airport and anywhere within three miles of the hotel.
Full breakfast/brunch and break services will be provided for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Group lunches and dinners will be provided on Wednesday and Thursday. Transportation will be provided between the meeting site, campus tour location, and the group dinners as necessary; please see the meeting agenda for details. Box lunches will be provided at the close of the CSG meeting on Friday.
