Good afternoon all,


Here is the final round of information for the May 2001 CSG Workshops and
Meeting to be held May 9th through 11th, 2001 at Cornell University in
Ithaca, NY.


Conference Hotel:
The hotel is The Clarion Hotel.  They can be reached at 1.800.257.6992.

They have reserved a block of 50 rooms for us for Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday nights.    PLEASE HAVE YOUR RESERVATION IN BY THE CUTOFF DATE OF
April 6, 2001.  The rooms are at the discount rate of $85.00 per night for
single occupancy or double occupancy.  If you wish to stay for the weekend
they will extend the rate if you ask when you make your reservation.
Check-in time is 3pm check-out time is 12 noon.

Guest rooms reserved for the Common Solutions Group will be held until April
6, 2001.  Any reservations not booked by this date will be on a first-come,
first-served basis at the best available rate.


Nearest Airport:
Ithaca (Tompkins County) Airport is about 15 minutes from the hotel.
The other close airport is Syracuse.  It is approximately 1 hour and 30
minutes from Ithaca.


Airport Transportation:
The hotel provides a shuttle to and from the Ithaca  airport.  Call them
when you arrive and they will come and pick you up.   If you plan to fly
into Syracuse you can call the airport limousine service at 1-800-273-9197
to arrange transportation.  It is $45 one way and $65 if you arrange a
round trip.


Driving directions from Syracuse to Ithaca:
Use local roads to I-81.  Go South on I-81 to Exit 12 at Cortland-Homer.
Take Rte. 281 South to State Rte 13.  Go South on State Route 13 to
Ithaca, NY.

Upon arriving in Ithaca, please follow local signs directing you to 
Cornell University. Use these directions in conjunction with the 
following to find campus.


Driving directions to campus:
Once on State Rte. 13, continue South to State Rte. 366.  Turn left
after the NYSEG complex onto State Rte. 366.  Follow State Rte. 366 East.
Turn left on Hoy Rd (Hoy runs over a stone bridge), which will lead you
straight into campus.

Please stop at the Visitor and Parking Information Booth ahead on 
your right if you are arriving between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 
Monday through Friday.

The attendant will be pleased to provide directions to your on-campus
destination (Ives Hall, see below), a campus and area map, and a Visitor
Parking Permit. Visitor permits are required Monday through Friday, 7:30
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A four-hour Visitor Permit is available for $3.00;
an all-day permit is available for $6.00.

Driving directions to hotel:
Take State Route 13 to Triphammer Rd.  The Clarion Hotel will be 1/4
mile north on Triphammer, on the left.  Driving directions and a map
are located on the hotel web page cited above.


Driving directions from hotel to campus:
Go south on N Triphammer, bear right onto Pleasant Grove Rd.  Pleasant
Grove Rd becomes Forest Home Rd and then Caldwell Dr.  Turn right onto
State Rte 366 (Dryden Rd).  Follow State Rte. 366 West.  Turn right on
Hoy Rd (Hoy runs over a stone bridge), which will lead you straight into
campus.


Conference Venue:
The CSG Workshops and Meeting will be held in Room 115 of Ives Hall on
the Cornell Campus

Registration and wired network access will be located in Room 111 Ives Hall.
Messages for attendees may be left at 607 254 7406 or 7407.  Wired and
wireless networking will be available in the meeting room.


Conference Meals:
Continental breakfast and break services will be provided for all three
days in Room 116 Ives Hall.  Group lunches and dinners will be provided
on Wednesday and Thursday (lunch will be served in Room 105 of the ILR
Conference Center building adjacent to Ives Hall).  Box lunches will be
provided at the close of the CSG meeting on Friday in Room 116 Ives Hall.
