Addendum B: Short Workshop:  New models for supporting the academic enterprise

Our thesis question: Can IT move beyond its traditional role to expand its presence in and support for the academic enterprise?

Agenda:

1) How do we tie IT strategic plan to teaching and learning mission? 1:30-2:20

2) What are the the merits and challenges of integrated models, where IT partners with units that support instructional spaces, pedagogy, and assessment, to provide unified instructional support to campus. 2:20-3:05

Break 3:05 - 3:30

3)  How can IT directly contribute to the educational mission, for example by helping transform student programmers and sysadmins into professionals,  contributing to data management and analytics education, having IT staff teach all or part of for-credit classes, or ‚€¶? 3:30-4:20

4) How can we help make IT infrastructure a teaching (and research) tool? 4:20-5:00
